About the artists

Jesper Carlsen (born 1977 in Aarhus, DK) lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Before his admission to Funen Art Academy i 2001 he worked as an electronics mechanic. Since 2004 Carlsen has exhibited internationally in both group and solo exhibitions/shows. His work, centered around animation, often acts as an activation of the surrounding space. Many of his works have the human perceptual limitation as the key component, and his work often appears minimal in its investigation of how the mind works.
